Scar remediation is a massage technique which when combined with organic castor oil helps to ease the discomfort of scarring from physical trauma, surgery, infection and childbirth.
Scars can also be referred to as adhesions and collagenous plaque build-up and can happen underneath the skin, sometimes without any obvious puncture wounds.
This massage technique can be performed on the body internally or externally. I am trained in urogenital bodywork, so I specialise in genital and pelvic scarring, but I can work with scars in most areas of the body.
In some cases Scar Remediation can help with the cosmetics of visible scars, but is primarily designed to remediate pain, numbness, hypersensitivity and restore mobility.
